BENEFITS OF TOTAL DARKNESS

Darkness synchronises the body's internal clock promoting a consistent sleep/wake cycle.

Eliminating light sources activates the pineal gland, enhancing melatonin production for sleep regulation.

A completely dark environment can improve the quality of REM sleep - the stage of sleep associated with dreaming and memory consolidation.

It can reduce cortisol levels, the body's primary stress hormone, helping with more relaxation and stress relief.

A dark sanctuary reduces sleep disturbances, allowing for more profound and restorative sleep phases.
